Kurt grew up on a small grain and livestock farm near Cambridge, IL in Henry county. He went on to receive a bachelor of science degree and a master’s degree in weed science from the University of Illinois.
After completing graduate school, Kurt worked for John Deere as a Crop Systems Specialist in North and South Dakota from 2002 to 2005. He returned to his home state of Illinois and worked as a Technology Development Representative for Monsanto in southern IL from 2005 to 2009. From 2009 through 2011 Kurt worked for Greene Farm Management as the firms Agronomists for Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, and Indiana. Since 2012 Kurt has supported BASF products as the company’s Technical Service Representative for eastern Iowa and western Illinois.
He resides in Moline, IL with his family and farms with his two brothers in Henry County, IL raising corn, soybeans, wheat and alfalfa.
