Billy Beck is the Extension Forestry Specialist with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, and is responsible for forestry education and extension across all of Iowa’s 99 counties. He is also an Assistant Professor in the Department of Natural Resource Ecology and Management at ISU, where his research and teaching efforts focus on the impacts that trees, forests, and forestry have on water quality and flooding in the agricultural Midwest.
