Dr. Lance Gibson is an Agronomy Training Manager at Corteva Agriscience where he leads the development of Agronomy courses and learning programs available to employees and seed sellers. More than 3800 participants from 44 U.S. states and 47 countries have completed the Pioneer Agronomy Essentials program he manages. Dr. Gibson began working at Pioneer Hi-Bred in 2008, spending 8 years as an analyst developing software for plant breeders and seed product advancement before taking his current position in 2016. Prior to joining Pioneer and Corteva, he spent 18 years teaching and conducting research in crop management at Kansas State University, North Carolina State University, and Iowa State University. An Iowa native, Lance has degrees in Agronomy, Plant Physiology, and Crop Physiology from Iowa State University and Kansas State University.
