Michael currently is a conservation agronomist with Heartland Coop. He has a B.S. in Agronomy from Iowa State
University. He has experience working as a Sales
Agronomist and 20 years of experience farming
with his family operation using cover crops to
help improve water quality and the environment.
Michael has represented farmers by serving on the Iowa Corn Promotion Board and the
U.S. Grains Council. He has traveled around the world to places such as the Philippines
and South Korea as well as other countries, promoting corn, U.S. ethanol and DDGS.
Michael currently works as a Conservation Agronomist for Heartland Cooperative in the
Racoon River Shed and Heartland sales territory in Central Iowa. He is passionate about
promoting conservation efforts by proactively supporting farmers and the work that
they do. Michael, his wife, and 3 kids live on his family farm just outside of Mitchellville
along with his 2 dogs.
