I graduated with a degree in Agronomy from Iowa State in 2003. After college, I worked at an ag research farm as a research assistant from 2003 - 2006 before starting my career with the NRCS in 2006. I started as a Soil Conservation Technician in a local field office. In 2015, I moved to the Area Engineering Staff as a Civil Engineering Technician. In 2020, I started my new position as the Area Soil Health Specialist for southeast Iowa.
My wife and I have a 3 1/2 year old son and 11 month old daughter. I farm with my dad on our family farm where we practice no-till and use cover crops on almost all of our acres.
