Arti Singh is an Associate Professor in the Department of Agronomy at Iowa State University. She leads a mung bean (Vigna radiata) and field peas (Pisum sativum) breeding program focused on developing new varieties for plant-based protein markets. In addition to breeding for new crops, her research focuses on phenomics and data analytic approaches leveraging machine learning, artificial intelligence for plant stress phenotyping, genomic studies, and germplasm exploration. She also works on developing and deploying intelligent sensing and phenotyping platforms for plant stress phenotyping.
