Help Students Engage With Agribusiness Careers

As a sponsor for the Agribusiness Career Day, you have an opportunity for your business to be seen and known by students who are actively seeking their place in the future workforce. Sponsors make it possible for the Career Day to actively engage students who already are ag friendly and show them the potential for careers in the agribusiness sector.

Over the past 10 years, the Agribusiness Career Day has become so well attended it will be a stand-alone event in 2024. Last year, the Career Day hosted 350 students made up of first year community college students with ag-related majors and high school FFA seniors. The move to a stand-alone event provides an opportunity for the Agribusiness Career Day to continue to grow. This change also provides more opportunities for sponsors to be involved.

All sponsors have the opportunity to send representatives to the event to interact with students and to hand the certificate to the scholarship winner.

The Career Day provides a $1000 scholarship to one student from every community college, and at least one $1000 scholarship to an FFA senior (one scholarship for every 60 FFA students who attend). In addition, the event provides a barbeque lunch and a career fair where students can interact with potential future employers in agribusiness.
